They come back from having gone, as they were instructed by Jesus, to the towns and villages, to preach the good news, and to show the good news in action as they healed those who were impaired. And they come back now and they come back to Jesus, and they’re filled with excitement for what they were able to accomplish. But Jesus also sees something in them.

Fall Cookout: Our fall parish cookout will be on Sunday, September 15 after the 11:15 AM Mass. Eat, drink, celebrate Catechetical Sunday, and enjoy fellowship with your fellow parishioners and our Brooklyn Heights community!
175th Anniversary: This fall, we will mark the 175th anniversary of our parish with a month of celebrations:
- November 3, 2024 – Feast of St. Charles Mass
- November 14, 2024 – Parish Anniversary Dinner held at The Watermark (21 Clark St.)
- November 24, 2024 – Choir Concert
- December 1, 2024 – 175th Anniversary Mass celebrated by Bishop Robert Brennan
Homily – 14th Sunday Ordinary Time
Today, I’m honored to have some of my family here at this mass. I won’t point them out, so I won’t not embarrass them too much, but it’s always a great time, especially during 4th of July when there’s lots of gatherings and parties and things like that. You get to see a lot of different families, lots of different people.
