Brownstone Brooklyn & Beyond, an inter-parish book group in which our parish participates, will next read The Bible With and Without Jesus by Amy-Jill Levine and Marc Zvi Brettler. The book explores how Jews and Christians interpret many of the same biblical passages differently. One of the authors, Amy-Jill Levine, was recently elected president of the Catholic Biblical Association, becoming the first Jewish president in the organization’s history.

Discussions begin this Thursday, September 10 when the group will discuss the preface and the first two chapters. The group meets weekly on Thursdays at 7 PM on the parish Zoom channel (see connection details at the bottom of this email).
