Our Annual Christmas Wreath Sale, a fundraising event for the Decorations and Beautification Committee, begins next Sunday! Last year we made a profit of $450 (selling 45 wreaths) which was used for altar decorations. Please consider purchasing your Christmas wreath at this sale.
Catholic Charities Christmas Toy Drive
The Brooklyn West Community Center of Catholic Charities is conducting a toy drive on behalf of local families with children between infancy and age 18 years. Many of these children receive no toys or gifts of any kind at Christmas. The Community Center distributes toys to 1000 families and over 2,100 children.
If you can help, we will be collecting donations in the carton at the entrance of the Church through Sunday, December 13. All donations should be UNWRAPPED and can be either seasonally appropriate clothing, or toys. (Please, no guns, knives, or other violent toys.)
The greatest need is gifts for teenagers. Although all donations are gratefully accepted, many teenagers most enjoy receiving gift certificates from popular chain clothing stores. If you donate a gift certificate please drop it off at the rectory or give it to Fr Ed.
Annual Christmas Collection
Our 2009 Christmas Collection will be taken up on Decmeber 13. Your generosity to this collection is greatly appreciated. We have faced large budget deficits which your contribution will help us overcome. God bless you and thanks!
