St. Charles is helping Providence House welcome special needs and low-income tenants to much-needed safe, affordable, permanent, and supportive housing. In the back of the church are examples of bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen basket kits for these tenants. Each basket has wish tags that describe necessities that are needed to fill these baskets. Please take a tag and purchase one or more of these items. The Outreach Committee prays that parishioners will generously help provide what is needed to help set up their homes.

Spring Concert Series
The first of the three concerts in our Spring concert series will be held at St. Charles next Saturday, March 23 at 7.00 p.m. We are happy to welcome Shirley Ritenour, a dramatic soprano and recording artist, to St. Charles. Shirley’s program “It’s A Grand Night for Singing” will take us on a journey across the musical spectrum including arias from well known op- eras and songs from the Great American Songbook. Shirley has performed in a variety of venues including opera performances, cabaret and as an anthem singer at the famed Madison Square Garden. Shirley teams up with pianist and fellow Californian, Steven Mann, for this concert.
Our second concert, Saturday, April 13 at 7.00 p.m. will feature artists closer to home, St. Charles Parishioners Pat and Locke Wallace. Patricia is a classically trained jazz and concert pianist and Locke is a song- writer and singer. Our second concert will pay tribute to “The Songs of Harold Arlen”.
Our third concert in the series will be held on Saturday, May 4 at 7.00 p.m. Further details to follow.
Tickets for all concerts will be $10 and may be purchased after the Sunday masses or at the door on the evening of the concert.
